Revenue audit examination of Comptroller and Auditor General of India is an important departmental examination for the staff/employees of the CAG. Assistant Audit Officer's and Sr. Audit Officers of the department are eligible for appearing in this examination. Assistant Audit Officers (AAO) require one year of service as regular AAO or training in GST etc. This examination comprises of two question papers
Paper 1- Income Tax (100 Marks)
It is also known as RAE-1 and common to all candidates.
Paper 2- RAE- 2 (40+60 Marks)
RAE 2 paper further divided into two sections
Section 1- Goods and Services Taxes- Common for all candidates. In this section, there are 40 multiple choice questions related to GST.
Section 2- Branch Specific- Section two is purely branch specific/based question paper. For example, for civil audit, commercial audit, P&T and Railway audit candidates appears for their relevent section of this question paper.
On passing Reveneue Audit Examination, Candidates get one advance increament which further plays vital roles in their salary.
